“Comfort ye, Comfort ye” and a rainbow at the rally.
A Rainbow at the Rally
“Comfort Ye Comfort Ye…”
“This post is dedicated to the over 60 Kedoshim- holy Israeli freedom soldiers, who gave their lives defending their people, ensuring The survival of Am Yisroel, by protecting Eretz Yisroel.
This post is dedicated as well to all those innocent civilians, innocent children who thanks to the brutality of Hamas, were marched like cattle, by gunpoint back into live war zones. Marched to their death, cynically used as propaganda in the war of public opinion, long after Hamas fell, clumsily- to the Jewish warriors, their superior in battle, and certainly their superiors in the moral battleground.
While they were in Gaza, they provided a brief glimmer of hope to the poor innocent civilians of Gaza trapped still, under the brutality of Hamas.
The world leadership fails the freedom movement yet again.
Freedom seekers in The Middle East have all but given up hope of ever feeling the warmth that one feels, when one is bathed in liberty’s sweet light. A warmth that we enjoy daily, but often take for granted.
In different times when the moral compass of the world pointed in the right direction, the Israelis would have been cheered on by decent people all over the world. Today those pockets of decency have been forced underground by bullying mobs of Jew haters masquerading in the most vile way as humanitarians.
In different times much of this bloodshed could have been avoided, and the freedom of the Gazans would have been established the first day of the battle. Only now the EU wakes up after all the death, and offers to rebuild Gaza in exchange for Hamas Disarmament. The IDF was on the ground trying to do the very same thing. Our young brave gentle heroes, gave their lives for this.
My fellow Jews who were posting #peace on their Facebook walls right before their morning starbucks run, while their brothers were crawling through tunnels in hostile territory, snidely insinuating that these young kids, good kind kids, who risked their lives for a REAL cause, were the aggressors somehow — I love you dearly, but, seriously? I simply cannot wrap my head around the sad paradox — of support flowing in from all over the world to Israel on one hand, and on the other, we see a divided Jewish community, incapable of speak in one unified voice of support in a moment of crisis.
The argument that says “well its precisely in times of crisis that our point must be made” rings hollow to me. It doesn’t work that way in a family. If your child is drowning in the ocean you dont stand by watching them drown, while Tweeting #nolifeguard #noswimming.
You just jump in.
While Israel stands alone as a beacon of light, in a region engulfed in madness never shying away from shining that light, the rest of the world echoes hollow “yes we can” battle cries, but whispers “no we cant, and no we won’t!
Meanwhile the real genocides continue. Today. Right Now. In Sudan. In Syria. In Iraq. etc etc etc.
The Genocide in Darfur continues as the little baby Obamas named after their hopeful saviour, now no longer babies, grow up imprisoned in their refugee camps.
Here s A little quiz for all you free free palestine nitwits. Do you have any idea how many people have been murdered in the South of Sudan in the last seven months? OVER TEN THOUSAND. Do you have any idea how many of them have fled their homes in this country on the brink of famine? OVER ONE AND A HALF MILLION.
Do you have any idea how many of them have been displaced during the course of this conflict?
OVER FOUR MILLION. Do you help them? Do you even know where Sudan is? No worries, they know not to expect you. THEY HAVE ISRAID- IsraAid is, a coalition of Israeli and Jewish groups that provides assistance to developing countries. An Israeli group that sends humanitarian cargoes to South Sudan. Read about the good work of actual humanitarians.
For all you brainwashed #freegaza people, on your twitter coffee break, google “Israel humanitarian efforts in third world countries” — READ IT! If you still have any remnants of a soul left, you will realize that every Israeli soldier that died, did so for #freegaza.
Just a few days ago, on Tisha B’av, we read from the book of Lamentations. “Al Ayleh Ani Bochia”, I cry for you and for me, for our children, for the worlds children, who are growing up in the shadow of this Towering Babble of confusion, resulting in our contemporary Lament.
“Al Ayleh Ani Bochia”,- I cry for a dazed world in which a hero like Max Steinberg is called a criminal.
“Al Ayleh Ani Bochia”,- I cry for a world where a barbaric pig dripping with the blood of his own people, his own children- is called a freedom fighter.
“Al Ayleh Ani Bochia”,- I cry for a world where a so called UN peace keeping mission headquarters, moonlights as a warehouse for rockets and ammunition.
“Al Ayleh Ani Bochia”,- I cry for a world where ISIS is not what Yiddish speaking Chassidic children call Popsicles.
“Al Ayleh Ani Bochia”, I cry for a world where an oasis of goodness, light, and democracy is labeled an apartheid state by a morally dysfunctional international community, mumbling their incoherent talking points, from wrinkled post it notes — all while Hamas grins- thanking the world for being a soldier in THEIR cause.
They will live another day, and in that day, they will continue to systematically butcher their own people, execute gay people, mutilate women and beat the innocent Gaza civilians, who informed of a defensive operation being carried out in their neighborhood in advance by Israeli txt messages, tried fleeing only to be turned back, over and over again at gunpoint by the “government” they voted in to protect them.
A side note to the people of Gaza. I hope you’ve learned your lesson. Who knows how this is going to end up. Hopefully we can help ease your plight, by removing Hamas from power. If that doesn’t happen, and there are new “elections” — please do the right thing. Vote for a better world for your children, stand up and reject Hamas. The movement for freedom must begin with your determination to live a better life. Your must allow the desire for freedom buried deep beneath your fear of Hamas, to surface, and be voiced loudly, proclaiming your rejection of Hamas for the entire world to hear. A rejection of the terror people, will tell a different tale to the world, causing a serious setback for the subhuman psychopaths controlling your fate. Do your part to take your lives back, you can be sure that Israel will do its part. Reject the xenophobic propaganda of your tormentors. The world needs to hear that. For the many of you that are already “there” — we understand that there is a huge difference between the safety of knowing the truth privately, and the danger of voicing it -however, the danger of remaining silent will prove far more dangerous in the long run. Please remember this despite the fact that you have been, and will continue to be intimidated at the “polls” — sometimes brutally. Still you have now see firsthand, yet again that the alternative to that brutality is far far worse. That part is in your hands. You too must be soldiers in the fight for your own freedom. You have voices. please use them. We’ve got your back!
As for our own Jewish community. I beg of you. There is a long battle ahead. We need you. Please, please get on your Facebook page, Twitter acct. and show Israel a little love today. Actually show them a lot of love. Show the world that Am Yisroel knows how to stand together. Show your appreciation for the sacrifice of a slain Israeli soldier. It means the world to them.
This week is the post Tisha Bav Shabbat traditionally know as Shabbat Nachamu, when we are comforted by G-d over the destruction, through the words of The prophet Isaiah. “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,” — This year the need for comfort resonates deeply, as we search frantically for a bright spot, for some sort of mental release valve.
That comfort came to me yesterday in the form of Jewish solidarity. The Jewish community -Two thousand strong, stood proudly as one to rally behind Israel at City Hall plaza. Those of you who braved the rain, also felt the same way. It was a rare “you had to be there” magical moment of togetherness. Standing in unity, shoulder to shoulder. In solidarity. In love. In Faithfulness.
We were rewarded with a sign from on High. Hashem Oz Leamo Yeetayn, “g-d gives strength to his nation” — when we need it most, and Hashem came through in the most colorful way. Suddenly the “storminess” abated, and G-d smiled down on us in the form of a rainbow, arching gracefully over the horizon, whispered softly to us,”
Nachamu Nachamu — be comforted my people, be comforted : continue doing your thing, I’ve got your back as well.”
Shabbat Shalom -AM YISROEL CHAI!
